The Holland Collection by OPI is now out and if you are a nail polish addict like I am, then you already knew this.  This collection fell a little short with me and I’m sure it has to do with all the glitter in a lot of their shades.  I am however a huge fan of “A Roll in the Hague“, how can you not be attracted to that color?  If you haven’t been able to tell from the last few posts, I have become a huge fan of orange as of late.

More and more I am becoming a fan of some “cheaper” cosmetics.  I have searched everywhere for a lip stain that actually stays on and looks fresh.  After reading about Maybelline Superstay , I decided to give it a try.  to my surprise the color actually stayed on for the whole night and remained glossy looking.  I highly recommend trying out this lip stain!

Im such a sucker for nail polish.  It has quickly turned into my obsession the past few years.  Essie has come out with their spring 2012 collection and it does not disappoint.  It has plenty of bright and pastel colors to choose from.  Try out one of my faves Orange, It’s Obvious.

With spring just around the corner, I thought I would share with you my must have for Spring.  I recently purchased Butter London’s Slapper from their spring 2012 collection and am absolutely obsessed.  With it not quite spring yet, I am trying my best to NOT wear the color so much.  If you are looking for a hot “go-to” color for spring, definitely try this color out.  It puts an awesome twist on all those teals and turquoises out there.

Urban Decay’s long awaited Naked 2 is now out in stores.  However, good luck on being able to find one actually in stock.  I have had to put myself on a wait list with Sephora since they are selling like hotcakes.  That is to be expected though, since it was super hard finding the original Naked palette.  If you don’t want to wait, you can purchase them on ebay, but expect to pay roughly $99 for it!

So I don’t think I would actually ever buy any of Violent Lips lip tattoos, but they are quite intriguing.  No lie, most of them weird me out, but I am kind of feeling the glittery ones.  There are definitely some rad colors and the thought of them staying on as temporary tattoos and not smudging off is pretty appealing.

Red lips are another fall/winter trend that is headed into this spring.  Forget the bright pink and coral, it is all about red this season.  After years of trying to find a red lipstick that would work with me, I read about Maybelline Red Revival.  To my Surprise, this shade of red actually suited me quite well.  I have never bought another shade of red since.  The great thing is it was also an amazing color on my friend who is very fair skinned.  They said it is a complimenting color on every shade and I would definitely have to agree.  The best thing about this lipstick is that it’s super budget friendly.  Red Revival will run you roughly $7 as opposed to the $30 norm of other lipsticks.

Okay, so maybe not “Beauty”. More like “Nail Polishes”…

While shopping around Forever 21, I came across a newly constructed “Beauty” corner of the store with a buckets full of nail polishes and other knick knacks. Being the nail polish aficionado that I am, I picked up some bottles and went on my merry little way. When I got home, I immediately grabbed the acetone to erase my current color and tried the Forever 21 color. At first it was streaky and being F21 nail polish (I mean, c’mon..), I was thisclose to losing hope. After the second coat, the color went from streaky and dull to bright and milky. Unlike Essie or Deborah Lippman where I typically see a few chips in my polish over the course of 5 days, the Forever 21 stayed in tact for 8 whole days before I started getting frustrated that it wasn’t chipping and you could see my nail growth.

Now, I’m not saying it’s the best color out there but compared to the $16 Deborah Lippman color I bought that was similar to the Forever 21 color, I’d rather buy Forever 21. Just sayin’. Make sure you use a basecoat  for cheap nail polishes as a precautionary measure. It’ll keep your nails protected from any bad chemicals cheaper nail colors may have, if any. But lets face it…aren’t they all bad anyway?
