There’s something about the simplicity of black/white and black/gray tees that I really like. Part of it has to do with the overuse of bold colors certain streetwear brands have used the last few years. These tees are examples of what I’m liking at the moment, a few which remind me of styles that were popularized by artists such as Barbara Kruger & Katherine Hamnett.

Yep that’s right, every little boys dream come true!  I recently purchased a pair of these for my little boy and he flipped when he learned that not only was there Spiderman on it, but it also had batman, the hulk, wolverine and etc.  Most shoes tend to stick to one superhero, so it was a nice change to see all of them combines in one shoe.  With the price below $30, it makes it a win/win situation for all parties involved.

H&M posted mysterious black and white videos on their Facebook fan page a few days ago announcing another designer collaboration, playing the suspense card since the designer was never announced  which created a lot of speculation.

After their previous efforts with Victor & Rolf, Madonna, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, and Jimmy Choo being the latest, I had high hopes for this secret design collaboration. And, they didn’t let me down.

An announcement today from the company, coming a few days earlier than expected, announced that their new designer collab is with Lanvin, a Swedish retailer. The collection will be a one-time holiday line, launching in 200 H&M stores countrywide on November 23rd. Little will be said about the collection until November 2nd, when H&M will be launching videos of the collection on their website.

I’m excited about this collaboration because of Lanvin’s elegant and classic aesthetic, but like most of the past H&M collection launches, I’ll probably be staying far away from the ridiculous lines.

One controller, six buttons, eight characters, and the words sonic boom will never be the same.  Street Fighter is undoubtedly the best fighting game to be ever released, and every kid with a spare quarter was cramming the machine to play it.  Ahh, back in the days, when I was a kid like Ahmad that’s what we did.  Skateboarded and played Street Fighter 2.  Well good news is that Triumvir has released their capcom x street fighter t-shirts in multiple color-ways for your pleasure.  These aren’t your run of the mill Walmart-style shirts cashing in on the fighting game resurgence, no, these are very well designed and drawn art work of your favorite world warriors.  Be quick and grab yourself one, or all of them, and ask your mommy for quarters when you’re at the mall, because woman, there’s some ass-kicking to be played.

Cutout shirts are the hottest trend for fall and I am loving it!  I purchased my first shoulder cutout shirt a few months back and got nonstop compliments on it.  I love that it shows off the most amazing part of a ladies body..the shoulders..but it adds a whole new twist than your average shoulder baring shirt.  Plenty of collections are offering these tops, so I don’t think you will have any problems finding any.

It was only a matter of time before handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff stepped in to the shoe designing business and from the looks of it, I’m glad she did. You can never run out of good designer shoes to choose from! The line doesn’t debut until her Spring 2011 show this fall and will consist of 25 pieces which will range from $160-$395. This puts them in the same price bucket as Gwen Stefani’s LAMB shoe line.

I’m excited to see the other styles in her collection and how successful the launch is going to be. Her handbags are popular, so you can probably assume that her shoe line will follow suit.
