There’s something about the simplicity of black/white and black/gray tees that I really like. Part of it has to do with the overuse of bold colors certain streetwear brands have used the last few years. These tees are examples of what I’m liking at the moment, a few which remind me of styles that were popularized by artists such as Barbara Kruger & Katherine Hamnett.

One controller, six buttons, eight characters, and the words sonic boom will never be the same.  Street Fighter is undoubtedly the best fighting game to be ever released, and every kid with a spare quarter was cramming the machine to play it.  Ahh, back in the days, when I was a kid like Ahmad that’s what we did.  Skateboarded and played Street Fighter 2.  Well good news is that Triumvir has released their capcom x street fighter t-shirts in multiple color-ways for your pleasure.  These aren’t your run of the mill Walmart-style shirts cashing in on the fighting game resurgence, no, these are very well designed and drawn art work of your favorite world warriors.  Be quick and grab yourself one, or all of them, and ask your mommy for quarters when you’re at the mall, because woman, there’s some ass-kicking to be played.

So, if you skated in the 80′s/90′s, had a brother who skated, knew someone who skated, you will automatically recognize these gems.  Airwalk was the staple, and one of the first shoes ever made for skateboarding, and the prototypes were one of the first very functional skate shoes.   I thought I would never see these shoes again, but guess what?  I was wrong.  Jumping on the “retro” movement in skateboarding, Airwalk has decided to re-issue the Prototype collection in all of their original glory.

In the late 80’s, skate shoes mainly consisted of overly simple suedes and basketball hi-tops. Enter the Airwalk Prototype Series. These shoes took the first serious look at improving skate characteristics like durability, grip, and comfort. These reissued Prototype 600s accomplish all that with rubber ollie pads, outsole flex grooves, padded collar and tongue and bangin’ 80’s style.

So hit up Airwalk’s Website and relive the glory days when skateboarding was all about gnar and grit, or just wear them and know that you are just that cool.  Plus @ around 89 dollars, they’re much cheaper than your knee-high supras, and while you’re at it, pick up that tube of shoe goo too!

Henley shirts are definitely a hot item for men in the upcoming fall season.  That’s right the super simple collarless shirt normally consisting of a few buttons is showing up everywhere in collections.  These shirts are super simple, but super hot.  Isn’t it funny how a few buttons can completely transform an otherwise simple t-shirt.

I hate seeing such a hot guy go to waste and as of late that seems to be the direction Brody Jenner is going.  There is nothing that annoys me more than when I see someone change everything about them to “mesh” better with their significant other.  Brody Jenner may not have always been the nicest guy on The Hills, but he normally was pretty clean cut and well put together.  Seems as though since he has been dating Avril Lavigne, he has put on some weight, some super ugly tattoos and now gotten a ridiculously horrible haircut.  Don’t get me wrong there are men that look very attractive with a mohawk or faux-hawk, but this just isn’t doing it.  He has lost major points in my eye for this very unflattering haricut!  Yuck!

Krew is starting to make more and more watches as of late.  Their collection reminds me of a cross between Nooka and Nixon.  They definitely have some attractive pieces, however I am not sure of the quality.  I am hoping that their quality is right up there with Nooka and Nixon, but will have to check it out myself.

Lace Up Booties:

I have noticed a huge trend of lace up booties in the fall shoe collections and I have to admit I am loving it.  They add a bit of edge on such a classy shoe.  I will definitely be picking up a pair of lace up booties when the weather starts to get a bit cooler and the leaves begin to fall.  from left to right: Aldo Tyms $130, Lovers & Friends $136, Christian Louboutin Lace up bootie $895

Men’s Vnecks:

Yes I said it, men’s vnecks are so hot right now.  For what used to be a mens fashion faux-pas has now turned into a fashion must have for fall 2010.  Vneck’s can look incredibly sexy on any man, if worn properly.  Please do not wear any tight V-necks and please do not wear any that are extremely too low.  Stay within those realms and you will be hot for fall!

Cognac:

Oh my, I am insanely obsessed with this color right now.  The funny thing is I bought a pair of 5″ cognac heels last year and only until recently have I finally worn them.  It used to be such a hard color for me to incorporate in my wardrobe, but I now wear a cognac colored something everywhere I go.  As the seasons progress you will see more and more of this shade in mens and womens.  Definitely try it out, you will not be disappointed.  It goes with everything, trust me!
